Hibs have tonight confirmed the signing of free agent midfielder Luke Amos.

The 26-year-old has signed an 18 month deal at Easter Road after a short, successful trial spell with the Hibees - Hibs also have the option of extending his deal by a further year should they so choose.

Amos started his career with Tottenham Hotspur, making one appearance, before moving to QPR.

He also had loans spells at Southend, Stevenage and QPR and has made over 100 appearances in his career.

Hibs boss Nick Montgomery, speaking to the official website said:

“He’s a quality midfielder with years of experience in the English Championship and at 26 he has his best years ahead of him.

“When I initially spoke to Luke about him coming to the club, it was important for him to come to Hibs and feel that it was the right place for him to continue his football journey.

“He will add competition for places, and he has fit straight into the group dynamic.

“He will add real depth to our midfield and will help our push for this second half of the season. We are all looking forward to working with him.”

Amos has been named on the bench for tonight's clash with Rangers.

Another cracking signing for the Hibees.

A position we have been crying out for to be reinforced.
