Hibs Being the first British club to partake in the Euro Competition that is still all the rage to this day.

Hibs beat Germans Rott-Weiss Essen (4-0 in Germany and 1-1 in Leith) and then Swedes Djurgaarden (3-1 in Firhill, away leg played there due to the scandanavian winter, and 1-0 in Leith ) before being beaten in the semi finals by French team Reims (2-0 away and 1-0 in Leith, a last minute goal for the french, in front of a crowd of 45,000 BTW )
