Former Hibs forward Alan Gow has been released by Plymouth Argyle it has been revealed today.

The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at the Hibees, but struggled with injury and only scored one goal in eight games.

Gow stated that he would jump at the chance of a permanent move to Easter Road, and only today Hibs boss John Hughes stated that he would like to add another striker to his squad.

"We're maybe a wee bit short up front, we could do with cover there," Hughes told BBC Scotland.

"If we keep shuffling the pack we may be able to add another one or two."

Could Gow be back on his radar???

Gow has had spells at Clydebank, Airdrie Utd, Falkirk, Rangers, Norwich City and Blackpool.
