Birmingham City make 2m bid for Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet

Last updated : 28 January 2021 By Steve Forbes

Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet is the second player who has become the subject of a big money offer this evening.

Off the back of the news that Millwall have offered over £1m for Ryan Porteous, the same Scottish Sun article reports that Birmingham City have offered £2m for star striker Kevin Nisbet.

Nisbet, 23, has been a revelation since signing from Dunfermline in a £250,000 deal in the summer, and has forced himelf to the fringes of the Scotland squad.

He is the top goalscorer in the Scottish premiership and has scored 13 times this season.

A number of clubs have been linked with the player including Sunderland and Sheffield United, but Birmingham are the first to make a serious offer.

Hibs are in the driving seat however, with Nisbet signing a 4-year-deal in the summer.

Again it's a decent offer, but in our opinion not high enough, and not one we can see Hibs accepting.

Hibs will insist on a sell-on in any deal, as they normally do, and the offer would need to be increased significantly before we can see it being accepted.

Also, like the Porteous bid, is there enough time to get a replacement in??

How much would we spend and who's a likely target?

We wait and see.
