Hibernian-Mad understands that striker Chris Dagnall has not been offered a new deal and has left the club.

The English striker joined the Hibees in December on a short term deal from Indian side Kerala Blasters, but new Hibs boss Neil Lennon has not offered him a new deal at Easter Road.

Dagnall, 30, played 15 times for the Hibees, but never found the net, he will however, go down in folklore with the club, as being part of the squad that finally took the Scottish Cup back to Easter Road in May after a 114 year absence.

The former Leyton Orient player follows fellow forward Farid El Alagui in leaving the club over the summer after going out-of-contract.

Liam Henderson, Anthony Stokes and Niklas Gunnarsson have also left the club after their loan deals ended.

It leaves the Hibees with only James Keatings and Jason Cummings a the recognised strikers at Easter Road.
