Dunfermline Athletic are keen on extending the loan deal of Hibs striker Ross Campbell.

The 21-year-old joined the Fifers on a an initial one month loan deal but it seems the Pars are keen to extend his stay at East End Park.

Campbell scored his first goal for Dunfermline, which was also his first ever senior goal, against Morton in the last minute to snatch a draw for Jim McIntyre's men at Cappielow on Saturday.

Dunfermline assistant manager Gerry McCabe has revealed that the club would like to keep Campbell longer than a month, speaking to the Dunfermline Press Sport, he said:

"We have got him for a month and hopefully, the manager can extend his stay.

"It's also up to him and Hibs but the manager would certainly like to keep him.

"He's got an eye for goal as well and you can't get enough of these players.

"We had him watched a few times last season and he came with recommendations. He's a good boy who seems keen in training."
