Ex Hibernian manager Tony Mowbray has today moved to deny he has any interest in taking outstanding Hibees left back David Murphy to West Brom.

Murphy is said to be unsettled at Easter Road and is after a move back to English football, but Mowbray has said he won't be going to the Hawthorns.

The Hibs left back has been linked with Wigan Athletic,
Birmingham City, Rangers, Celtic as well as West Brom, but it looks unlikely The Midlands will be his destination.

The Baggies manager said:

"Again, I've never had any conversations with John Collins or Rod Petrie about David Murphy. He plays for a club I used to manage and nothing more.

"The boy is apparently unsettled and may want to move, but I'm assuming an agent is trying to create interest and people are associating this club with him. Again, it's speculation and nothing more.''
