Ex Hibs midfielder Brian Kerr fails to agree terms with MLS side Toronto FC

Former Hibs midfielder Brian Kerr is still currently without a club after failing to agree terms with MLS outfit Toronto FC

Kerr had been training with the Toronto squad ahead of their 'trade and transfer' deadline closing and head coach John Carver seemed keen to sign the player, but his agent failed to agree terms with the club.

The 26-year-old former Newcastle United, Livingston and Motherwell midfielder is a free agent, so would be able to sign for most clubs in the world, even though the transfer window is now closed, but not in the MLS.

Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen showed Kerr the Easter Road exit door after he failed to live up to the hype following his arrival last summer, when signed by former Hibees boss John Collins.

Kerr, along with Martin Canning and Zibi Malkowski were released from their contracts and freed just as the transfer window shut on September 1st.
