According to press reports today, Hibs striker Florian Kamberi could be on his way out of Easter Road.

Swiss side FC Basel are said to be keen to take the former Grasshoppers striker home to Switzerland and are willing to pay £2m for the privelage.

Basel see Kamberi as a replacement for striker Albian Ajeti, who recently joined West Ham in an £8m deal.

They were in attendance today as Kamberi scored twice as the Hibees beat Morton 5-3 to progress to the Betfred Cup Qurter Finals.

It's now a waiting game to see if Basel make their move.

Editor's View:

Losing Kamberi would be a massive blow to the club, he has started to look like his old self and is returning to form.

Hibs have started the season in patchy form, and losing our star striker could upset an already disgruntled support.

If Hibs do accept an offer, the money MUST be re-invested in the squad, as we still look a couple of players short, and losing Flo would add to that.

Looking at it from the players point of view, it's a chance for the big man to join a club who regulary play Champions League football and who also offer a return home.
