Former Hibs boss Alan Stubbs turns down Dundee Utd job

Last updated : 01 November 2017 By Steve Forbes

Legendary Hibs boss Alan Stubbs has turned down the vacant manager position at Dundee Utd.

The Tannadice club sounded out the Evertonian about the job following the sacking of Ray McKinnon, after he reportedly topped a shortlist written up by the United board.

Stubbs has been out-of-work following his short spell in charge of then English Championship side Rotherham United - that lasted just 14 games.

The 46-year-old has made sporadic appearances as a tv pundit in the last few months, and it seems United have failed to coax him back to Scotland.

Another ex Hibs manager, John Hughes, along with ex-Hearts boss Csaba Laslo and ex-United player Jim McIntyre are now the front-runners for the job.
