Ex Hibs defender Darren McCormack has today signed for first division side Ross County.
The 21-year-old former Scotland under 21 captain was released by John Hughes at the start of the summer, and has signed a 1-year-deal with the Staggies.
McCormack is delighted to have found a new club, and had plenty of options, he said:
“I'm delighted that George Adams and Derek Adams have shown faith in me.
“I had a few other offers but I spoke to Ross County after I was released by Hibs and once I spoke to Derek and George that was the only place I wanted to go.
“I was on the bench for Hibs when we played them in the Scottish Cup last season and I saw at first-hand how good a team they are.
“Their run to the final was nothing short of magnificent and it is a feel-good club after what happened last season.
“It is a terrific club, run by good people and hopefully I can go there and kick-start my career again."
Hibs die-hard McCormack played 24 games for his boyhood heroes before he was released.
Good luck to Darren from everyone at Hibernian-Mad.
