Freed Hibs forward Damon Gray signs for Berwick Rangers

Berwick Rangers have tonight revealed that they have signed former Hibs striker Damon Gray.

Gray was released at the end of last season by former manager Mixu Paatelainen, despite having been a prolific goal scorer fro both the Hibs U19 and reserve sides.

Hibs sent Gray out on two loan spells to 1st division side Partick Thistle, and ironically, Gray will make his Berwick debut against Partick in the Scottish League Cup 1st round at Firhill.

Gray, 21, played 27 games in all for Thistle, scoring 7 goals.

He played 5 games in all for the Hibees, scoring 1 goal, this coming in a 2-2 draw with Aberdeen at Pittodrie, he made his debut for the club in the Scottish Cup Semi-Final defeat to Dunfermline in 2007.

Gray impressed for Berwick last night, in a 1-1 pre-season draw with Blyth Spartans, notching the goal for Berwick.
