It's been revealed today that Hibs have accepted a bid in the region of £500,000 from Watford for defender Ryan Porteous.
The 23-year-old is apparently on his way to London to talk with the English club about a contract and his wage demands.
Hibs are also said to have inserted a sell-on fee should the deal be completed.
Watford will also play a friendly at Easter Road as part of the deal.
Porteous is out-of-contract this summer, and has had the likes of Udinese, Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City, French cracks Toulouse and a number of German sides tracking him.
However it now seems Porteous is closing in on a deal with the Championship club, who are owned by the same family who own Udinese.
Porteous has played over 150 games for the Hibees, and apparently there is a possibility he could play one more, against Aberdeen on Saturday, according to some reports.
However it seems unlikely.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
What a day, it looks like we will be losing both Porteous and goal machine Kevin Nisbet.
Porto will be a huge loss to the club, let's hope we have a good replacement in the pipeline.
Hibs need to bolster the squad with some quality players.
