Hibs agree fee with St Gallen for sale of striker Florian Kamberi

Last updated : 03 August 2020 By Steve Forbes

According to numerous press reports this evening, Hibs have agreed a fee with Swiss club St Gallen to sell striker Florian Kamberi.

Kamberi, 25, is currently back in his homeland after boss Jack Ross told him his Easter Road career was all but over, following comments he made after signing for Rangers on loan in January.

Hibs are looking to at least re-coup the £150,000 they paid Grasshoppers for the striker, and it's thought they secured that, plus a sell-on fee.

Kamberi now looks set to head home, despite reported interest from Rangers, Norwich City, Hull City, Middlesbrough and Huddersfield Town.

Editor's View:

Kamberi's time at Easter Road is up.

The fee is a bit dissapointing if true, Kamberi is on the verge of his first international cap with Albania, a decent step-up from the reserves of Grasshoppers where Hibs plucked him from.

A sell-on softens the blow however.
