Hibs assistant manager Tommy Craig has tonight moved to quash rumours that manager John Collins was on the verge of taking the vacant managers post at English Premiership side Bolton Wanderers.
Collins, 39, had been liked to the job in some reports in the evening press, but his right hand man Craig has denied there is any truth in the story.
The Hibs manager was only last week linked with the Queens Park Rangers job, which he moved to distance himself from.
Speaking to the BBC, Tommy Craig said:
"These things do tend to crop up if you are doing well and people see you doing well with the resources we have got.
"But we have got to concentrate on what lies ahead and that's Motherwell.
"I was given a disdainful look by John this morning when I went in and went 'Bolton'?
"He looked at me as if to say I should have known better and I should know better, because it's pure speculation as far as we are concerned."
Let's hope he is correct!
