Hibs boss John Collins has revealed that his recent spying mission, during the international break, was successful and that he plans to make a move for a mystery player in January.
Instead of joining every other Scotsman either at Hampden or glued to a TV screen on Saturday for the Italy clash, the Hibs manager jetted out to watch a specific target and was left highly impressed with what he saw.
The Hibs boss said:
"It was a specific player, someone who had been brought to my attention. We'll find out in the next few weeks. I don't like to do a lot of business in January but it would be good if we could get one or two in then.
"I don't want to say too much about the player I was watching for two reasons, alerting other clubs to the fact we've been to see him and also I don't want to raise supporters' hopes when there is nothing, as yet, certain."
Good news, let's hope we can get a couple of quality players in during the January transfer window and keep the wanted players at Easter Road.
