Hibs boss Neil Lennon has tonight confirmed that Genoa midfielder Stephane Omeonga is close to signing for the Hibees.
The Belgian U21 international comes with good pedigree, having made 22 apperances for Genoa over the last two seasons in Seria A.
Omeonga also had a spell on loan in Seria B with Avellino so has some good experiencedespite his young age.
Speaking to the press Lennon said:
"According to Genoa it's done, but it's not quite over the line yet.
"He's got good energy, particularly in the middle of the park. He's youthful but he's got a great attitude towards the game; tactically he's good and he can get us up the pitch quickly."
The Hibees are expected to confirm the signing in the next few days.
