Hibs confirm Marciano signing

Last updated : 29 June 2017 By Steve Forbes

Hibs have this afternoon confirmed their fourth signing of the summer, with the capture of goalkeeper Ofir Marciano.

The Hibees have landed the player for an undisclosed fee (reports have it as £150,000, with a 50% sell-on fee).

Marciano has signed a 4-year-deal, subject to international clearance, and returns to Easter Road having spent last season on loan.

Speaking to the official website, the Israel international said:

“I am delighted to be back at Hibernian.

“Last year was an amazing experience playing in front of the fans at Easter Road – it is a privilege to play in front of them every week and we will be working hard to make them happy again this season.”

“I wanted to become a better player when I came here and I think I did that. That’s why I wanted to come back to Hibs – I have everything I need here to become a better player.”

Marciano follows Simon Murray, Danny Swanson and Efe Ambrose in joining the Hibees this summer.

A fantastic signing.
