Hibs have this afternoon, finally, confirmed the signing of Celtic forward Anthony Stokes.
The 27-year-old has rejoined the Hibees on loan until the end of the season.
Stokes signed after Hibs boss Alan Stubbs beat off competition from the likes of Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic, Dundee Utd and Inverness Caledonian Thistle for his signature.
Speaking to the official club website, the Hibs boss said:
“Anthony is a fantastic footballer and will really strengthen the squad.
“We have a number of options in attack and real competition for places which is what every manager wants.
“We are excited about Anthony coming here and I think he will prove to be a real asset.”
Stokes previously played for the Hibees back in 2009-2010, scoring 24 goals in 48 games.
A fantastic signin for the Hibees!!!
