Hibs defender Callum Booth set to join Raith Rovers on loan

Out-of-favour Hibs defender Callum Booth is set to join Raith Rovers on loan.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Livingston, playing 31 times for the 1st division side, and it looks like another season long loan is in the offing.

Booth burst on to the scene at Easter Road as a raw 19-year-old, and was excellent at left back for the Hibees, he was also hailed as the next big thing to come from the club's outstanding youth set-up.

However, he feel out-of-favour once Pat Fenlon took the reigns in Edinburgh, and it doesn't look like changing.

He has played 30 times for the Hibees and scored twice. The defender has also played for Scotland U19 and U21 sides, and has spent loan time with Brechin City and Arbroath.

Raith Rovers are expected to announce the loan signing of Booth tommorow (Friday).
