Hibs defender Chris Hogg has today insisted that team mate Steven Fletcher is correct to snub a move away and stay at Easter Road.

Fletcher has been liked with a move to Bolton Wanderers in the English Premiership after contract talks broke down with the Easter Road hierarchy, but it seems a new deal could be close.

Hibs have apparently offered to make top scorer Fletcher the highest paid player at the club and an announcement is expected to be made this week on a new five-year-deal for the 20-year-old.

Fletcher's team mate Chris Hogg has stated that the best place for Fletcher to keep n learning his trade is Easter Road, he said:

"Fletch is a young boy and is still developing. A lot of people will be looking at him because he is a talent and has a lot more progressing to do.

"Hopefully he will come on again but Easter Road is the right place to do that because he is playing every week."
