WWW.HIBERNIAN-MAD.CO.UK understands that Hibs defender Chris Hogg, has signed a contract extension to his current deal.

Hogg, 22, has apparently signed a new 2 year extension, taking his current contract to the summer of 2011.

The ex England youth captain arrived at Hibs on a free transfer from Ipswich Town under then boss Tony Mowbray back in January 2005.

Ipswich paid York £150,000 for Hogg when he was just a trainee, but he never played a game for Ipswich due to a sell on clause in his contract meaning they would have to pay MORE for him, but Ipswich, at that time were in administration and could not afford to. This leaving the door wide open for the Hibees to sign him.

Good news, as Hogg has really come on to a game this last season and is turning in to a cracking player.
