Broonaldo - on the verge of a move to Middlesbrough??

It has been revealed on Sky Sports this evening that Hibs have entered in to talks with English Premiership side Middlesbrough over the possible transfer of Scotland midfielder Scott Brown.

Middlesbrough have apparently informed Hibs that they are willing to pay £5.5m for the 21-year-old midfield dynamo, when the summer transfer window opens.

It had first been reported this morning in the tabloids that Hibs had received a bid of £5.5m from Boro for Brown.

Middlesbrough are also going to offer the Hibs star £25,000-a-week.

Brown was recently voted
Scotland's Young Player of the Year and Hibs boss John Collins has admitted he won't be able to hold onto Broonaldo this summer.

Talks over a possible move to the
Riverside are at an early stage and it is thought Boro will face stiff competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Everton for the player's signature.

Bolton, Rangers, Celtic & Liverpool have also been credited with an interest.
