Hibs eye January loan for Celtic's Kris Commons

According to news reports, Hibs are keen on signing out-of-favour Celtic attacker Kris Commons.

The 33-year-old has not played for Celtic this season, and is out-of-contract in the summer, and will surely be leaving Parkhead when his deal expires.

Hibs boss Neil Lennon is said to be keen on bringing the former Scotland player to Easter Road on loan for the rest of the season.

The biggest problem however, will be Commons' reported £25,000 a week wages - way out of Hibs budget.

Celtic are keen to get the player off the wage bill, but it remains to be seen if the percentage Hibs can afford to pay of the players wages, will be high enough to tempt the Glasgow club to do a deal.
