Hibs forward Steven Fletcher pulls out of Scotland U21 squad

Last updated : 16 October 2007 By Steve Forbes

Hibs received mixed news from the Scotland U21 camp today, when it was revealed that on-form hitman Steven Fletcher has pulled out of the squad to face Holland.

The forward has had to pull out the game to face the European U21 champions due to a minor knock.

The good news however is that he should be fit for Hibs tricky trip to face Motherwell at Fir Park on Saturday, as the Hibees look to extend their undefeated start to the season.

Some other good news coming from the young Scots camp is that exciting Hibs right back, Kevin McCann, will make his first start in a Scotland U21 shirt against the Dutch, the youngster picking up his first cap last week, coming off the bench against Lithuania at Easter Road.

Good luck Kevin!
