Hibs have tonight been linked with a move for Norwich City defender Rocky Bushiri.
The 6ft 2in Belgian defender has been rumoured to have been on the Hibees radar for a few days, and the Scottish Sun has now revealed there IS interest in Bushiri from Easter Road.
22-year-old Bushiri is well know by both new Hibs boss Shaun Maloney who knows him through the Belgium set-up, and Hibs CEO Ben Kensell from his days at Norwich City.
The Sun reports that the Hibees will attempt to sign the former Oostende defender on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Bushiri is currently recovering from an injury that cut-short a loan spell with Belgian side Eupen.
He has also had loan spells with Blackpool and with Sint-Truiden, KV Mechlen and another previous loan with Eupen , all in his homeland.
The central defender has also been capped at U19 and U21 level with Belgium.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW:
Is this the "mystery" target the Hibees have been talking to the last few days?
Hibs have been looking for a big, powerful central defender and Bushiri looks to fit the bill.
The only worry would be he is just recovering from injury and hasn't played in quite a while., but we are crying out for another central defender
Definately one to watch....
