Hibs join the race for Stevie May

Hibs have today been linked with a move for former St Johnstone forward Stevie May.

The Scotland international is currently out-of-favour at Preston North End, and their manager Simon Grayson is said to be keen to get the player out on loan for the rest of the season, to build up his fitness.

May has just returned from a long term spell on the treatment table, following a knee ligament injury picked up playing against Fulham in November 2015.

The 24-year-old has only managed seven appearances since signing for Preston in September 2015 from Sheffield Wednesday.

Hibs boss Neil Lennon is thought to be keen on bringing the player to Easter Road, but the Hibees will face competition for his signature, with Aberdeen, Hearts and Dundee also interested in the player according to the Scottish Sun Newspaper.
