Hibs revealed late last night that they had completed the signing of Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder John Rankin at the third time of asking.

Hibs ahd already had two bids of £70,000 and £100,000 turned down by the Highlands club, but landed the player at the third time of asking.

Rankin started at Manchester United , he then moved to Ross County on a free before moving to Inverness Caledonian Thistle for a fee of £65,000 a couple of years back.

The Hibees landed the player in £110,000 deal on a three-year-contract and the player will go straight into the squad with other new arrival, ex Hibs captain Ian Murray, for tomorrow's crunch derby at the pink bus shelter.

Ian Murray arrived on a short term deal until the end of the season.

Let's hope Ian can find the form that he was showing before he moved along the M8 to Rangers, that pushed him into the
Scotland squad.

He will also bring a load of European and International experience to our young squad.

Welcome to Hibernian F.C lads.
