Hibs linked with £150,000 bid for Bohemians keeper Brian Murphy

Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has today been linked with a £150,000 swoop for Bohemians goalkeeper Brian Murphy.

The 25-year-old former Swansea, Oldham Athletic and Peterborough keeper was voted Republic of Ireland Player of the Year last season and joins a growing list of keepers being watched by the Hibees.

The Hibees are desperate to sort out their on-going goalkeeper problem that has plagued the club over the last four years.

Problems with keepers such as Zibi Malkowski, Simon Brown, Andy McNeil and now Yves Ma-Kalambay have seen the Hibees throw away points that could have seen them add more glory to their 2007 CIS Cup win, and now Paatelainen seems set to pounce in January.

Only yesterday the Hibees had been linked with Partick Thistle and Northern Ireland keeper Jonny Tuffey.
