Hibs have today been linked with a move for Ross County striker Ross Stewart.
According to several press reports this morning, Hibs have targeted the Staggies forward and will have to fight it out with Aberdeen for his signature.
The Hibees have apparently already made contact with Ross County about the availability of the 23-year-old.
County are said to be looking for a six figure fee for the player, who joined the Highland club in a £50,000 deal from St Mirren two years ago.
Stewart has hit 11 goals this season, two of them against Hibs at the start of December, and has been attracting interest from south of the border as well.
Hibs are looking to bring a striker or two, after selling youn Oli Shaw to Ross County last week, and only have Forian Kamberi and Christian Doidge as first team strikers.

On paper he looks a decent signing.
It seems strange however that Hibs would sell Oli Shaw to County, only to then decide they want Stewart.
Would it not have made sense to use Shaw as a makeweight to sign Stewart????
Whatever happens, it looks like being a busy end to the transfer window.
