Hibs linked with summer move for St Johnstone defender Jason Kerr

Last updated : 10 May 2021 By Steve Forbes

According to numerous news reports, Hibs are contemplating a summer move for St Johnstone defender Jason Kerr.

The Hibees see the defender as an ideal replacement for Ryan Porteous, who's been attracting interest from QPR and Millwall, with Millwall having a January offer of £1.5m turned down for the Hibs defender, should he leave this summer.

The 24-year-old is entering the final year of his contract, and apparently, £300,000 is what the Perth club would want for their captain.

Kerr is a well known massive Hibs supporter, and it probably wouldn't take much to convince him to head to Easter Road.

EDITORS VIEW:

Hibs should be looking to sign the outstanding Kerr wether Porteous leaves Easter Road or not.

We have a thin squad, and only have three central defenders in the squad, with Darren McGregor not getting any younger at 35.

Kerr would be an ideal signing, and you know, with him being a massive Hibby, he would play for the shirt.
