Hibs have been handed a major boost ahead of this weekend’s Edinburgh Derby, with the news that midfielder Liam Miller is set to return from injury. The influential Republic of Ireland midfielder has missed the Hibees last two games with a calf strain, but has re-started training in a bid to prove his fitness. It would be a major boost for the Hibees should he make it, with Kevin McBride, Darren McCormack and Sol Bamba already ruled out, and captain Chris Hogg struggling to make it. Hibs boss John Hughes said: “We expect Liam to train today, he's been doing a lot of stuff with the physio but we'll just have to see how he is doing when he joins the rest of the squad." Alan Gow is also expected to continue on the comeback trail, having made the bench against Rangers last week, and long term injury victim Kevin McCann is also in contention after, along with Gow, playing in a bounce game against Falkirk this week.
