Hibs midfielder Martin Scott close to Ross County return

Hibs midfielder Martin Scott is close to a return to former club Ross County.

Discussions have already taken place between the two clubs, and it looks likely to be a loan deal, although all three parties would like the move to be permanent, but Scott still has two years on his deal.

The out-of-favour former Staggies player has struggled to hold down a regular first team spot at Easter Road following his £80,000 move from County in January 2011.

Scott, 24, has found himself completely out of the picture following former manager Colin Calderwood's sacking and new boss Pat Fenlon taking over the helm.

The former Livingston player was made available for loan late last season by Fenlon but failed to find a club.

Scott has played 25 first team games for the Hibees.
