Mixu Paatelainen has today revealed that the Hibees will not be signing former Dundee Utd keeper Grzegorz Szamotulski.
The 32-year-old Polish international could not agree a contract at Easter Road and has now returned home to Poland.
Szamotulski has spent the last few weeks training at the Hibees £5m state-of-the-art training facility at East Mains, and played in a closed doors game with Dundee.
Speaking to the official club website, Paatelainen said:
"He did well in training here but unfortunately we could not agree a contract, so the quest goes on, we are working hard on that front and hoping we can do something on that front but as always it's not entirely in our hands."
Hibs have also been linked with Burnley keeper Gabor Király
in the last few weeks, and may now follow up their initial interest.Tell us what you think of this news on the www.Hibernian-Mad.co.uk message board, at the link below.
