Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has allowed youngsters Keegan Ayre and Blair Tolmie to head out on loan for some much needed first team experience.

Both players have signed loan contracts with second division side Berwick Rangers until the end of the season and will both be in contention for the relegation strugglers against Raith Rovers at Stark's Park tomorrow.

Berwick Rangers are currently bossed by ex Hibs defender Michael Renwick.

Defender Blair Tolmie, 18, is currently a Scotland U19 international and is an integral apart of Hibs U19 side, who have been playing some excellent stuff this season, especially in the Scottish FA Youth Cup, when they recently demolished Queen of the
South U19's 13-0.

Keegan Ayre has been touted as the next big thing to come through the famous
Hibernian Youth Academy. He was part of the Canadian U20 squad that recently participated in the FIFA U20 World Cup that was held in his homeland.

Ayre, 19, who can play anywhere across the midfield, was voted the Canadian Young Player of the Year in early 2006 after having a superb tournament at the U20 World Youth Championships in 2005.

Berwick will be loaning two exciting youngsters and hopefully the pair can help them stave of relegation.

Good luck lads, from everyone at Hibernian-Mad.
