Hibs have today been linked with a move for Hartlepool United defender Michael Nelson.
The Hibees look set to lose giant centre half and club captain Rob Jones in the summer, and Nelson could be a ready made replacement.
29-year-old Nelson would cost the Hibees in the region of £175,000, and they would face competition for his signature from Leeds United and Oldham Athletic.
6ft 2in Nelson has also played for Bury before joining Hartlepool in the summer of 2003.
