Hibs pull out of deal for Cameroon defender Thierry Gatheussi!!

Hibs boss John Collins has revealed that he has pulled out of a deal to sign Cameroon defender Thierry Gatheussi.

Gatheussi, 25, is currently playing for French side FC Sete and his agent, Jake Duncan, said only the other day that the player was desperate to join the Hibees.

Even FC Sete reported on their website that they had held talks with Hibs over the possible transfer of the defender.

It now seems that JC has had enough and has backed out of the deal, over the player stalling on the transfer, the Hibs boss said:

"That's dead now, it's disappointing it took so long for him to get back to us but that's football.

"But we have a couple of trialists for the same position coming in to have a look at so we'll move on and see how they do. We'll have a closed door match towards the end of the week."
