Hibs set for multi-million pound investment?

Last updated : 01 July 2019 By Steve Forbes

It seems the rumours doing the rounds on Hibs messageboards and social media have been true.

The Scottish Sun are reporting that the Hibees are set for a £6m investment in the club from an "Edinburgh Born" Business tycoon.

The last month has been awash with different rumours, including that an American Consortium has been in talks to buy the club, there was the one about two American based, Edinburgh born, multi millionaires buying the club with an initial £10m investment.

Then there was the Barclay Borthers, The Miami Dolphins owner and Irvine Welsh..........

Anyway, it seems some sort of big investement is coming in to the club, which can only be good news.

In the last year Hibs have banked £3m for John McGinn, then another reported £2m was secured off the back of Aston Villa's promotion (The value of this fee is in dispute though).

Now there's talk of a 15-20% sell-on in the McGinn transfer deal, after he was reported to be on the radar of Manchester United in an incredible £50m transfer deal.

If any of the above is true, it looks like being an exciting few months ahead for the Hibs support on and off the field.
