Hibs set to sign Dunfermline Ath striker Kevin Nisbet in £250,000 deal

Last updated : 10 July 2020 By Steve Forbes

Hibs are tonight closing in on the £250,000 capture of prolific Dunfermline Athletic striker Kevin Nisbet.

The fee has been agreed with the Fife club, and Nisbet was at the Hibees East Mains training facility for signing talks and a possible medical this afternoon.

Nisbet, 23, hit 23 goals for the Pars last season, and the Hibees have rekindled their interest after having a January offer of £400,000 knocked back for the player.

Dunfermline have decided to accept the lower fee considering Nisbet only has a year left on his deal, and most likely due to the coronavirus outbreak's financial implications.

Hibs are said to be set to announce his signing in the coming days.

Wow.

What a signing that would be in the current climate.

It just to show what buying season tickets and the up-surge in HSL donations can do for the club.

Hibs have shifted well over 10,000 season tickets and over 900 new members have signed up to Hibernian Supporters (HSL) over the last few months.

What a support we have.
