Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has today revealed that the Hibees are on the verge of landing French defensive midfielder Steven Thicot.

Thicot captained the France U17 side as they won the European U17 Championships four years ago.
He has also been capped at U18, U19 and U21 level for Le Blues, and he can operate as a defensive midfielder or centre half.
If Thicot signs he will be big Mixu's second summer transfer signing after he landed St Mirren right back David Van Zanten on a three-year-deal under freedom of contract.
The Hibees have entered into contract talks with Thicot and Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen seems keen to land the player, he said:
"He is a good player, he can play various roles and we are now working hard towards a contract. Hopefully, he will join us.
"Steven has been through all the national teams in France, he's played with all the top names. He has plenty of ability and he tells me he is a very ambitious player which I like."
The lad looks like he has good pedigree, could be a good signing and be one for the future.
