Hibs boss Neil Lennon has confirmed that a deal has been agreed to sign Juventus midfielder Vykintas Slivka.

The Lithuanian international will complete a year long loan deal to Easter Road in the coming days.

Lennon is just waiting on international clearance coming from Italy.

The Hibs boss said:

“He is here. We are waiting for clearance from Juventus now to get the deal completed.

“He is in the building, but he can’t train, so we have to take care of that. He is just doing some fitness work and some physical work at the minute.

“He wants to come here. Tactically, he is very good. He is athletic, two-footed and has an eye for a goal. He covers the ground very well and looks very composed on the ball.

“It is what Juventus do to bring on young players. They have a catalogue of young players and they put them out on loan. The opportunity came along and we liked the look of what we saw.”

Slivka will be the Hibees seventh summer signing, following countryman Deivydas Matulevicius, as well as Efe Ambrose, Simon Murray, Ofir Marciano, Steven Whittaker & Danny Swanson signing for the Hibees.

Slivka has been capped 19 times by Lithuania and has played for Modena (Italy), Ascoli (Italy) and Den Bosch (Holland) whilst out on loan from Turin giants Juventus.
