Hibs set to sign St Johnstone winger Drey Wright

Last updated : 24 June 2020 By Steve Forbes

According to several news reports today, Hibs are close to signing St Johnstone winger Drey Wright.

The 25-year-old is available on a free, and he was apparently at the Hibees East Mains training facility having a medical today.

Wright is leaving St Johntone having turned down new terms with the Perth outfit.

The deal is close to being done and the former Colchester winger is expected to be Jack Ross' first signing of the summer.

Editor's View:

It's good to see a signing coming in to the club, but it seems strange, with Hibs having previously stated that no new players would come in until the deffered wages of current players, following the corona virus outbreak, had been paid back.

Wright will bring some much needed pace and width to the side, wih only Daryl Horgan and Martin Boyle, currently in the squad who are out and out wingers.
