Hibs sign keeper Ofir Marciano on loan

Hibs have tonight finally completed their third signing of the summer transfer window.

The Hibees have signed Israel goalkeeper Ofir Marciano on a season-long loan deal from FC Ashdod.

Hibs are now completing the paperwork for his registration and work permit.

28-year-old Marciano comes in to replace goalkeepers Mark Oxley & Conrad Logan, who both left the club over the summer.

Oxley joining Southend United and Logan currently training with old club Leicester City as he looks for a club.

Marciano joins Ross Laidlaw and Grant Holt in signing for new boss Neil Lennon.

Speaking to the official website, the Israel No1 said:

“I am very happy to be here. I have had a look at the stadium today and am very excited about coming here and playing in front of the fans.

“I know the club’s ambitions. There’s an expectation after the cup win last season and I hope we can meet these and make the fans happy.”
