Hibs have tonight confirmed their sixth signing of the summer, with the capture of striker Deivydas Matulevicius.

Matulevicius, 28, has signed a two-year-deal at Easter Road and follows Steven Whittaker, Ofir Marciano, Danny Swanson, Simon Murray and Efe Ambrose in signing for the Hibees.

Hibs boss Neil Lennon has moved quickly to snap up the Lithuanian international after failing to agree terms with Welsh forward Simon Church.

Speaking to the official website, Matulevicius said:

"I am very happy to now be a part of this club. It's a big step in my career and I will do everything I can to make it a successful season for us.

"I've always watched British football and the style of play will suit me - it's more physical and you need to have a lot of fight in every game.

"It's a big club with a big history and I'm really happy to be here."

He has played in a number of countries during his career, including Belgium, Romania, Poland and Romania during his career.

6ft 3in Matulevicius has been capped 33 times at full international level for Lithuania.

Welcome to the Hibees Deivydas!
