Hibs midfielder Merouane Zemmama has today spoken of his delight to finally be on the verge of a comeback.

The Moroccan magician has been out since suffering a cruciate ligament injury in March against Falkirk.

27-year-old Zemmama is now only a couple of weeks away from a first team return, and can wait to get back into action, he said:

"I am nearly fit. I've started to train with the boys and I feel great.

"I work very hard and everyone works hard with me, especially the physios.

"Now I look forward to coming back and getting bounce games before I play in the SPL.

"Hopefully I can work hard between now and the end of the season and help Hibs win a cup or third or fourth place.

"I have been out for nine months but now I look forward to getting back and helping the boys get results.

"I would like to say all the best to Yogi. The first year we had a great season and the second, it didn't work for him.

"Now we need to work hard for Colin to get results and hopefully we can do that.

"In March we played Falkirk away and 10 minutes into the game I was tackled and felt a crack in the knee.

"The physio thought I'd be okay because I could walk but after the MRI scan we discovered I had done my cruciate.

"I had an operation on April 15 in London and now everything is fine.

"No one likes getting injured but it's part of football. I got injured and had to deal with it and work hard.

"I was focused on the work the physio gave me and now I'm very happy and looking forward to coming back."
