Hibs striker Anthony Stokes has today been nominated for the Scottish PFA Young Player of the Year Award. The 21-year-old has had a fantastic first year in a Hibs shirt, since signing from Sunderland in a £500,000 deal during the summer. He has currently hit 19 goals for the Hibees, and just recently earned a recall in to the Republic of Ireland squad for the game against Brazil. The other players nominated for the award are: David Goodwillie (Dundee United) Leigh Griffiths (Dundee) Danny Wilson (Rangers) A thoroughly deserved nomination for the former Falkirk and Arsenal forward.
