Hibs striker Steven Fletcher is understood to be in talks with the club, over a new, improved deal at Easter Road.

His agent Scott Fisher has admitted that talks are underway with the exciting
Scotland U21 & "B" international.

The Hibees hitman has been in good form so far this season and is currently sitting second in the SPL scoring charts with 7 goals from 13 games.

Fletcher, 20, has been linked to English Premiership side Bolton Wanderers over the last few weeks, but Hibs seem desperate to hang on to Fletch and have made moves to do so.

"We are in talks about a contract extension with Hibs for Steven," Fisher told skysports.com

"Nothing has been agreed as yet and we are planning more talks next week.

"Steven is always going to be linked with other clubs as he is a promising player.

"At the moment he is a Hibs player and he is under contract there."

Excellent news, Fletcher is another player to have come through the club's superb youth system and Let's hope Hibs are able to tie him up to a long term deal and keep him at Easter Road for the foreseeable future.
