Hibs striker Steven Fletcher has made it on to a five man shortlist for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

The 21-year-old has hit 14 goals already for the Hibees this season, despite missing a big chunk of the campaign at the start of the season with an ankle ligament injury.

Fletcher also made his
Scotland debut last month in the 1-1 draw with Croatia at Hampden Park, with Fletch setting up Kenny Miller's goal for the Scots.

Real
Madrid, Newcastle United, Everton and Aston Villa are all tracking the forward, although a fee of about £4m would be needed to prise him away from Easter Road in the summer.

Also nominated for the award are
Falkirk midfielder Scott Arfield, Aiden McGeady of Celtic, Motherwell's Ross McCormack and Kevin McDonald of Dundee.

If Fletcher does go on to lift the trophy, he will be the FOURTH Hibs player to do so, John Collins won it in 1988, Kenny Miller in 2000 and Derek Riordan in 2004.
