It's been revealed today that Hibs boss Neil Lennon has told Sam Stanton he can go out on loan.

The 22-year-old has failed to hold down a first team place at Easter Road, and was allowed to join Livingston on loan last season.

With the likes of John McGinn, Dylan McGeouch and Marvin Bartley in front of him, he will now have to leave Easter Road for first team football.

Stanton impressed when he first broke into the Hibees first team, but fell out-of-favour under Alan Stubbs.

He is contracted to Hibs until 2018.
