It's being reported this evening that Hibs have turned down a bid worth £1.7m from Peterborough for striker Jason Cummings.

The English League One club offered the Hibees £1.1m up front, with a further £600,000 in add-ons.

Hibs immediately threw out the offer for their star striker, telling the English side the player is not for sale.

Peterborough were apparently keen to push the deal through in time for the 21-year-old to make his debut against Rochdale tommorow.

However Hibs have are keen to keep the Scotland U21 striker at Easter Road to spearhead promotion back to the SPL.

Cummings has hit 46 goals in the last two seasons and just recently signed a new 4-year-deal with the club.
